The early morning of this Tuesday, December 9, was marked by a serious accident in the south of Bogotá that left serious material damage and two people injured.

The accident occurred around 4:00 am on Carrera 30 (NQS Avenue) and Calle 3, in the town of Puente Aranda, where a car ended up crashing directly into the facade of a building where a drug store operates.

According to the initial report from the Ministry of Mobility, the incident involved a car and a truck that collided at the intersection. After the impact, the car was projected towards the establishment and the truck ended up crashing into a traffic light in the sector. The violence of the coup was such that both vehicles were practically destroyed and classified as a total loss.

Traffic Units, Firefighters and emergency personnel arrived at the site to address the situation. The work to remove debris and clean the road lasted until 6:00 am, when mobility was finally restored in the area.

Authorities reported that the two drivers were injured and were taken to medical centers, although no official details have been provided about their health status.

For now, authorities are investigating the causes of the accident, including possible speeding or road failures.
