In the last few hours, in the town of Bosa (southwest of Bogotá), the National Police captured a 25-year-old man who was wanted by the justice system for his alleged participation in an aggravated homicide that occurred in June 2025.
The procedure was carried out in the middle of a public street, in the San Pablo sector, during registration and background control tasks carried out by uniformed officers of the Bogotá Metropolitan Police. Within the framework of these activities, it was found that the man had a current arrest warrant for violent acts that were already the subject of a judicial investigation.

According to the investigations carried out by the Technical Investigation Corps (CTI) of the Attorney General’s Office, the captured person would be linked to an event that occurred on June 23, 2025 in the Bosa Centro sector, where he allegedly attacked another person with a sharp weapon, apparently a screwdriver, causing his death.

After being identified by the authorities in the institutional system and the arrest warrant was corroborated, the subject was immediately detained and subsequently placed at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office, an entity that defines his legal situation and will continue with the corresponding judicial proceedings.
The Ministry of Security and the National Police reiterated the call to citizens to report any event that puts coexistence and tranquility at risk, through the emergency line 123, as part of the strategies to strengthen surveillance and timely attention to crimes in the capital.
