Given the magnitude of the climate emergencies that have hit various municipalities in the department hard, the Antioquia Sectional Red Cross announced this Friday, January 13, the official opening of its ‘Solidarity for Antioquia’ campaign.
The objective is to channel the help of citizens and companies to accompany the hundreds of families who have lost everything due to overflows and floods.
Starting this Friday, the institution makes its logistics capacity available at its headquarters to receive supplies that will be delivered to the most vulnerable areas.
Citizens can go to the race headquarters 50 # 25 – 249, with entrance through Regional Avenue, to deliver grooming kits (soap, toothpaste, diapers), non-perishable food with a minimum expiration date of six months and concentrated pet food.

The authorities of the institution were emphatic in clarifying that, for logistical reasons, used clothing or medications will not be received at this collection point.
For those who prefer to make financial contributions, transfers have been enabled through the entity’s official website.
These resources will allow the Red Cross to acquire specific supplies according to the evolution of emergencies in subregions such as Urabá and the Aburrá Valley.
