In a Gaula operation of the Police and the Army, they managed to rescue Manuela, who was kidnapped in the Manrique sector, Medellín.
The victim had been reported missing since last Sunday, February 1, when she was last seen in the Corazón village of the Altavista district.
For eight days, the woman allegedly suffered multiple physical and psychological attacks by her captors.
The location of the victim was possible thanks to the information provided by his relatives, who warned about the possible kidnapping. After receiving the complaint, the authorities activated an intelligence deployment that culminated successfully on the afternoon of Sunday, February 8.
At the time of the rescue, Manuela was evacuated from the area and rushed to a healthcare center in Medellín to receive treatment for the injuries suffered during captivity. The medical team evaluates his health status, while he receives special protection from the State.

In the procedure, two people were captured, identified as those allegedly responsible for the detention and attacks against the woman.
The suspects were immediately transferred to the bunker of the Attorney General’s Office, where they await hearings before a guarantee control judge for their respective prosecution for the crime of kidnapping.
The authorities are investigating whether this fact is linked to the dynamics of criminal groups that operate between the townships and communes of the northeastern area.
