As the official opening of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games approaches, the Colombian delegation focuses its hopes on cross-country skier Fredrik Fodstad.

The national athlete will participate in a total of four high-level events, all taking place at the Tesero Cross Country Ski Stadium, in the Fiemme valley.

Fodstad’s debut is scheduled for this Sunday, February 8 in the demanding 20-kilometer skiathlon modality, which combines classic and free styles.

This competition will begin at 6:30 in the morning, Colombia time, equivalent to noon in Italian territory.

The activity will continue for the tricolor representative next Tuesday, February 10 with the classic sprint test.

The day will begin with the qualifying rounds at 3:55 in the morning in Colombia, while the final phases, which include quarterfinals and semifinals, will culminate with the grand final around 7:25 in the morning.

Later, on Friday, February 13, Fodstad will face the 10-kilometer freestyle test starting in intervals, whose start is scheduled for 5:45 in the Colombian morning.

Finally, Fredrik Fodstad’s participation in this twenty-fifth edition of the winter competitions will close with one of the most emblematic tests of cross-country skiing: the classic 50-kilometer mass start.

This marathon on the snow will take place on Saturday, February 21, starting at 5:00 in the morning in Colombia.

With this performance, the Bogotá athlete will end his Olympic calendar just one day before the closing of the event, seeking to raise the name of the country in the Italian Alps.
