The Trade Union Organization of Migration Employees of Colombia (Osemco) officially declared itself in labor conflict, announcing a series of indefinite protests that threaten to paralyze entry and exit controls at the main airports.
According to the union, the National Government has systematically failed to comply with the agreements agreed upon in December 2024, which has led workers to resume de facto actions to demand basic guarantees.
The root of this conflict dates back to a document signed on December 5 of last year, where the State committed to carrying out an institutional redesign study and salary leveling for officials.
Employees report that, although the implementation of these improvements was to start in January 2026, to date there is not even initial progress.

Given the magnitude of the conflict, the union recommended that citizens and tourists who have scheduled international flights arrive at the airports much earlier than usual.
Delays at immigration filters in cities such as Bogotá, MedellĂn and Cartagena could intensify in the coming hours, affecting connection times and passenger flow. The workers assure that they will not give in until there is a real commitment to the reengineering of the entity and the adjustment of their salaries.
For now, the Ministry of the Interior and the Colombian Migration Directorate have not issued an official statement to calm the waters. Meanwhile, the conflict continues to escalate in the air terminals, where operators hold permanent assemblies.
