A violent robbery attempt was recorded in a restaurant located in the Bosa Islandia neighborhood, south of Bogotá, where three people—a 23-year-old man and two minors, ages 15 and 17—were surprised by the Police after intimidating customers and causing injuries to the establishment’s administrator.
According to the information provided by the authorities, those involved violently entered the business premises and, through threats, stripped the people who were there of various items. To commit the crime, they would have used a traumatic type firearm. During the incident, the restaurant manager was injured.
After committing the theft, the alleged perpetrators fled in a vehicle. However, the quick reaction of the community, which alerted the Police, allowed a nearby surveillance patrol to activate a lock plan in the sector. Thanks to this operational deployment, the uniformed officers managed to intercept the vehicle and capture those involved a few blocks from the restaurant.
During the procedure, the authorities found the traumatic type firearm in the possession of those captured and recovered the items that had been stolen minutes before.

Lieutenant Colonel Óscar Chauta, commander of the Bosa Police Station, explained that the three people intimidated the diners with the weapon and injured the establishment’s administrator, which began a chase that culminated in their capture and apprehension. Likewise, he confirmed that those involved were placed at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office for the crimes of aggravated and qualified robbery, in addition to personal injuries.

The captured man and the two apprehended minors remained in the custody of the competent authorities, while the corresponding judicial process progresses. The recovered items were seized as part of the procedure.
According to official figures, so far in 2026, in the town of Bosa, 96 people have been captured for different crimes and two firearms have been seized, as a result of the preventive and operational plans carried out in the area.
Finally, the authorities reiterated the call to citizens to report any criminal act or situation that affects coexistence through Emergency Line 123, highlighting that timely information is key to facilitating the police reaction and judicial processes.
