The goalkeeper of Liga Deportiva Universitaria, Gonzalo Valle, is being held in the Traffic Offender Detention Center after being arrested last Friday night for driving while intoxicated.
The incident occurred on Friday, January 23 at 10:11 p.m., during a road control operation at the intersection of La República and Diego de Almagro avenues.
After undergoing the breathalyzer test, the device returned a result of 1.44 g/l of alcohol in the blood, a figure that far exceeds the permitted limits and which led to his immediate arrest.
After a contravention hearing held on Saturday, January 24, the court ruled several sanctions for the footballer.
On the one hand, he was deprived of liberty for 20 days in prison and his release is scheduled for February 13.
Additionally, they imposed a financial fine of three unified basic salaries, equivalent to $1,446.

Additionally, the soccer player was given a 60-day driver’s license suspension.
Through an official statement, the goalkeeper expressed his regret and apologized to the fans, his teammates and the coaching staff of the Alba institution.

For its part, the Albo club confirmed that the event occurred outside the sporting field and assured that they will respect the relevant legal consequences.
However, they indicated that they will act under their internal regulations, providing institutional support so that Valle’s professional career is affected as little as possible.
