Minute30.com .- The quick reaction of the Metropolitan Police surveillance patrols allowed the capture in flagrante delicto of a 35-year-old man, accused of attacking another citizen with a knife in the Prado Centro sector. The incident, initially classified as an attempted homicide, occurred in the early hours of Saturday, January 24.

The incident occurred at approximately 04:06 am, on Calle 53 and Carrera 51, at the separator of the vehicular lanes in the Estación Villa neighborhood.

The attack and the victim

Authorities were alerted about an injured person in the street. When they arrived at the scene, they found a man wearing wine-red jeans, who had multiple wounds caused by a sharp weapon.

Due to the severity of the injuries, the affected person was immediately transferred to a healthcare center, where he is in a delicate state of health, and remains under a reserved prognosis but already in the process of recovery.

Capture of the aggressor thanks to his clothing

The description of the attacker was key for the quadrant units to achieve his arrest a few meters from the scene of the incident. The captured person is a 35-year-old man with a thin build who, at the time of the attack, was wearing a distinctive dark blue sports suit with a white print of the number 60.

After being intercepted by the uniformed officers, the formal capture was carried out. The individual was left at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office to answer for the crime of attempted homicide.
