Minute30.com .- In the early hours of this Thursday, January 22, the west of Medellín was stained with blood. A hitman attack recorded at 12:19 am in the Blanquizal neighborhood, jurisdiction of Comuna 13, left two men dead: an alleged middle manager of a criminal structure and a young mechanic who had nothing to do with the conflict.
The events occurred exactly on 54th Street and 92A, where the midnight tranquility was interrupted by a burst of gunshots.

The objective: Alias ’Roña’ and a possible settling of scores
The first victim was identified as alias ‘Roña’, 48 years old. According to the official report, the man was chatting in front of a commercial establishment when, as he was about to leave, he was approached by a subject with his face covered who came out of a nearby alley.
‘Roña’ received four bullet wounds, all of them concentrated in the head and face, which caused his instant death on a public road.
Witnesses indicated that the deceased demobilized from the AUC approximately 10 years ago, and was allegedly currently working as coordinator of the criminal gang ‘El Pesebre’. He had a record of forced displacement and extortion, among others.

A few meters from the attack on ‘Roña’, there was a 28-year-old young man and a mechanic by profession, chatting with several friends when they found themselves in the middle of the crossfire.
Mateo was shot in the back, close to the man, while the hitman pursued his main target.
His friends immediately helped him and took him in a private vehicle to a hospital in the northwest of the city, but due to the severity of the wound, the young man was admitted without vital signs.
It was learned that the mechanic’s family resides in Madrid, Spain, so there were no relatives present at the site to initially identify the body.

At the scene, authorities collected two 9 mm caliber vanillas. and no arrests were reported.
