The trust that dozens of parents placed in a sports training school in MedellĂn ended up turning into a nightmare. The Attorney General’s Office confirmed this Wednesday, January 21, the prosecution of Luis Fernando, a 37-year-old soccer instructor, accused of leading a network of production and dissemination of explicit sexual material that involved his own students.
The subject, taking advantage of his leadership and the affection that minors had for him, would have instrumentalized adolescents between 13 and 16 years old to generate child pornography material; The content was then marketed and shared on digital platforms.
The investigation, which was supported by the United States Homeland Security Investigation Agency (HSI), revealed that the instructor shared at least 60 files, including videos and photographs, of five fully identified victims.

The events occurred steadily between December 2024 and July 2025, during which time the soccer coach would have used the fields as a facade to gain entry to the young people’s private environment.

The digital tracking of the authorities was key to detecting that the material was circulating in international exploitation networks.
Before a guarantee control judge, the Prosecutor’s Office charged the defendant with the crime of pornography with a minor under 18 years of age. Even though the technical evidence was compelling, the man decided not to accept the charges. However, given the danger he represents for the city’s children and the risk that he would continue his criminal activities from freedom, the judge ordered his immediate transfer to a prison center under a security measure.
This case highlights the sophistication of attackers who now use supposedly safe environments to hunt their victims.
