The Ministry of Sports ended the year 2025 with a historic financial balance. As of December 31, the entity recorded a budget execution of 98.51%, which represents the commitment of $447,386 million on a current allocation of more than $449,600 million.

These figures reflect strategic planning and responsible management of public resources allocated to the sector during the last period.

This result marks the highest level of execution in the last three years, showing a trend of continuous improvement in administrative efficiency.

While in 2023 execution was 73.6% and in 2024 it reached 93.7%, the end of 2025 stands out for optimizing the use of the allocated budget, achieving almost all of its financial goals despite having a smaller allocation than in previous periods.

Regarding the investment area, the results were even more forceful. Of the $400,000 million available for this component, the Ministry managed to commit 99.12%, ensuring that the resources were transformed into programs for access to sports, recreation and physical activity throughout the national territory.

The Minister of Sports, Patricia Duque Cruz, stressed that this achievement is the result of coordinated work with the National Government and the different committees of the country.

“Teamwork was essential to bring sport to all corners of Colombia, especially to the most vulnerable population.

The coordination with the Olympic, Paralympic and Deaflympic committees allowed us to achieve great results for our athletes,” stated the official.

Beyond the numbers, the 2025 management focused on guaranteeing conditions of dignity and enjoyment of sport for Colombians throughout their life cycle.

By bringing the institutional offer to all regions, the Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to social development, demonstrating that efficient budget execution is the key tool to positively impact the quality of life of people in the territories.
