Minute30.com .- A serious case of intolerance almost ended in tragedy during the night of Sunday, January 18. A 28-year-old man was seriously injured after being attacked with a knife in the Santa Cruz neighborhood, after a dispute that apparently originated from a look at a woman in the middle of a street party.

The events occurred around 11:30 pm, in an area where several family celebrations were taking place and the consumption of liquor was the common denominator.

From blows to the knife

According to neighbor accounts, the victim was drinking alcoholic beverages inside a home. As he left with the intention of visiting his girlfriend, he passed by another house where a party was being held; There he “kept an eye” on a woman who was at the celebration. However, the young woman’s boyfriend, upon noticing the look and blinded by jealousy, lunged at the 28-year-old young man, hitting him several times.

Not content with the beating, the attacker entered his house, took out a knife and inflicted multiple wounds on the victim before taking refuge again.

The victim was helped by neighbors and was initially transferred to a hospital in the northeast of the city. However, due to the severity and depth of the injuries, doctors ordered his immediate referral to a more complex hospital, where he remains under a reserved prognosis and receives specialized care.

It is presumed that the authorities have already identified the alleged aggressor thanks to the testimony of witnesses and it is expected that in the next few hours his arrest for attempted murder will become effective.
