An attempted robbery in Bosa was thwarted by the Bogotá Metropolitan Police, after two men, ages 30 and 32, were captured when they allegedly intimidated residents with a firearm in the San Antonio neighborhood of Scotland.
According to the official report, the events were recorded while uniformed personnel assigned to the CAI Brasilia carried out registration, control and surveillance tasks in this sector of the town of Bosa.
During the patrol, the police observed two subjects who, apparently, threatened two citizens with a firearm.
Upon noticing the police presence, the alleged criminals boarded a motorcycle and tried to flee the scene, which began a chase along several roads in the sector. The quick reaction of the uniformed officers allowed them to be intercepted meters later and proceed with their capture.
During the procedure, the authorities seized a firearm that was allegedly used to intimidate the victims.

The two men were placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority for the crimes of theft and manufacture, trafficking and illegal possession of firearms, along with the seized items.
The Police reported that one of those captured presents previous judicial notes related to the crime of theft, which will be taken into account in the judicial process.
From the institution they reiterated the call to citizens to promptly report any criminal act.
According to figures, during 2025 theft from people in Bogotá registered a reduction of 5.7% compared to the previous year, a result that, according to the authorities, is due to the strengthening of patrols, citizen complaints and coordinated action between institutions.
