In the last few hours, the Bogotá authorities responded to a risk situation in the town of Kennedy, which culminated in the rescue of a six-year-old girl who was alone in an apartment.
The events occurred in the Roma neighborhood, where neighbors alerted the National Police after observing the minor from a second-story window, stating that she was hungry and requesting help. The radio station received the notice and immediately activated the verification protocol.
Upon arriving at the scene, the uniformed officers found that the door of the property was secured, which prevented entry through that route. Given the situation, the intervention of the Bogotá Official Fire Department was requested, which managed to access the apartment through a window and rescue the minor safely.

The National Police reiterated the importance of citizens promptly reporting any situation that may put the safety and well-being of children and adolescents at risk, recalling the channels available to report events that violate their rights.
This case joins other operations in Bogotá where the coordinated action of uniformed officers and protection agencies has been essential to address situations of abandonment or violation of the rights of minors, also highlighting the importance of community collaboration to activate response mechanisms in a timely manner.
