Minute30.com .- A shocking case of intolerance under the influence of alcohol was recorded in the last few hours on Calle 65 and Carrera 52, in the northeast of Medellín. A 52-year-old man, from the municipality of Granada, Antioquia, was seriously injured after being attacked with fire by who, minutes before, was his drinking companion.

The events occurred while the victim and perpetrator were talking and consuming alcoholic beverages in the middle of a public street. The situation became violent when the aggressor demanded more liquor from his companion; Given his refusal, the attacker, in an act of brutality, proceeded to spray him with a flammable liquid and set him on fire.

Quick reaction and capture

Thanks to the timely reaction of the Metropolitan Police quadrant patrol, the aggressor, a 40-year-old individual, was captured in flagrante delicto, who was placed at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office to answer for the crime of Attempted Homicide.

For his part, the victim was immediately helped and transferred to a highly complex healthcare center due to the severity of the burns suffered on a large part of his body. His prognosis is reserved.
