Minute30.com .- What began as a cell phone theft in the Villa Hermosa neighborhood, commune 8 of Medellín, ended with one alleged criminal dead and another captured. The reaction of a teenager and her father triggered a chase that ended in a lynching.
According to witness accounts, two individuals riding a black Yamaha SZ motorcycle approached two people, including a 15-year-old minor, to snatch her cell phone. However, they did not count on the victims’ determination to defend their belongings.
The reaction that caused the fall
The 15-year-old girl, in an act of bravery and adrenaline, held on tightly to the grill of the criminals’ motorcycle, causing them to lose their balance. At that moment, the minor’s father came to her aid and launched a strong kick against the vehicle, causing the two subjects to fall crashingly to the pavement.
The fall was taken advantage of by residents of the sector and people who left nearby commercial establishments. The crowd, tired of the constant thefts in the area, attacked the subjects.
