The I Preseason for referees of the FIFA and A categories continues to add successes with the integration of the third group of referees.

This preparation cycle, which has already accumulated ten days of intense and planned work, seeks to prepare the country’s judges for the challenges of the 2026 sports calendar.

The process is progressing as planned, consolidating a high-performance training structure.

Imer Machado, director of the Arbitration Department, highlighted that these days ratify the commitment of the Colombian Football Federation (FCF) to the evolution of the union.

According to Machado, the squad has been permanently renewed under higher standards, seeking to achieve a level of excellence that translates into better performances on the field of play and greater transparency in decisions.

For their part, the protagonists on the field value this stage of instruction positively. Professional referee Alejandro Moncada described the experience as enriching, underscoring the importance of the knowledge transmitted by the instructors.

For the referees, this space is vital to unify criteria and arrive with the necessary physical and theoretical preparation to face the 2026 season with guarantees.

During the sessions, participants are rigorously evaluated on key technical aspects such as hand handling, tackles and offsides, in addition to delving into VAR intervention protocols.

These evaluations are complemented by demanding physical tests that ensure optimal performance of the judges. The activities are expected to formally conclude on January 18, successfully closing this first phase of the year.
