The community of Mingueo, in the municipality of Dibulla, La Guajira, woke up shocked after the discovery of the lifeless body of a three-year-old girl who had been reported missing on December 10.

The minor, identified as Shelsy Michel, was found in circumstances that have generated outrage and a deep call for the authorities to clarify what happened.

According to versions collected from the inhabitants of the El Vivero neighborhood, the little girl was playing near her home when she disappeared without a trace. Immediately, relatives and neighbors began their search while the official poster issued by the Police was disseminated.

The discovery that shook the town

In the last few hours, the minor’s body was found inside a sack, in a house located a few meters from her house.

The scene caused moments of tension and despair among the inhabitants, who blocked the Riohacha-Santa Marta highway demanding justice and a prompt response from the authorities.

Witnesses claimed to have seen the minor in the company of a young man, with dark skin and a height of around 1.70 meters. Although the community points to a resident of the sector as a possible person responsible, for now no official arrests have been confirmed.

The governor of La Guajira rejected the crime and asked for speed in the investigation, highlighting that it is “a heartbreaking fact that cannot remain unpunished.”
